Tea News is the work of several contributors and editorial staff.

Andrew Gadsden (Editor and Trade News)

Andrew Gadsden is Managing Director of All About Tea. He writes on a variety of subjects for Tea News, specialising in trade stories from around the world. Andrew is also responsible for our popular Beginners' Guides To Tea.

Brian Writer (Specialist Tea News, Tea History)

Brian Writer writes on specialist tea matters and Tea History.

Brian is the UK's foremost authority on tea, a member of the UK Tea Council and a leading figure within the trade. He has spent the last 55 years of his life tasting and trading teas, first as a broker at the London Tea Auctions, and latterly as the Buying Director at one of the UK's most important tea trading companies. He recently announced his much-delayed retirement, though it doubtful whether he will ever truly retire. He remains, at the age of 72, a Director of the Windmill Tea Company which he founded with his wife, Margaret. His dog is called Camellia, after the tea plant Camellia Sinensis.

Brian is Head Taster/Buyer at All About Tea and uses his unparalleled experience and expertise to advise on every aspect of the buying and blending of teas.

Patricia Harris (Health and Lifestyle)

Patricia Harris contributes articles on Health and Lifestyle, for example the latest medical studies on green tea, or new tea products in the lifestyle sector.

Andrew Dooley (Technical and Engineering News)

Andrew Dooley writes on engineering matters, such as tea packing machinery, loose tea packing, production methods and labelling.

Andrew has many years experience as a senior Design Engineer and has 12 patents to his name. Andrew is Design Engineer at All About Tea. This entails keeping the blending and teabag packing machinery in perfect running order, as well as a number of broader responsibilities including being Quality Manager in charge of ISO9001 compliance and certification. As part of this, Andrew also runs the Continuous Improvement programme and draws up production procedures and processes.

Sandra Arbidane (Editorial Assistant)

Sandra Arbidane is responsible for administering Tea News. She assists the editorial team with the publication of articles, as well as the Twitter tea headline service.
