25 year old tea still tastes ok
Robert says his 25-year-old Rose Congou is still perfectly drinkable.
I recently received the following email from one of our subscribers, Robert:
While clearing up indoors I had come across an old airtight tin of tea labelled 'Rose Congou'.
Not knowing a thing about it, I searched online. I have to say I have partaken of several brews of late without ill effect even though the tea will have lain stored within the box for 25 years.
The tea tastes perfectly ok. Intriguing, somewhat earthy, the tea is 'very well matured'.
Those old tea tins were certainly built to do their job!
