Often sold by street vendors, it is a real winter warmer, made with plenty of creamy milk which has been deeply infused with the rich flavours of exotic spices.
Our Spiced Chai is made with a good BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe) Assam leaf blended with Rooibos and wonderful, aromatic spices – Cardamom, Ginger, Cinnamon, Cloves, Ginseng, and Ginkgo. Wrap your hands around a steaming mug of Spiced Chai and bring some warmth and comfort into a cold December morning!
To brew, use one heaped tsp per person in a warmed pot and add freshly-drawn boiling water. Brew for 5 minutes and strain into mugs. Delicious with or without milk. Spiced Chai is delicious prepared in this way like ordinary tea, but you can also make a more traditional Chai by heating milk and water in a pan, adding the Chai, and simmering for 5 minutes before serving sweetened with sugar.
