Lychee
The richly sweet and complex flavour of this delicious, healthy tropical fruit is an excellent companion to the smooth, bright nature of China Congou tea.
China Congou is a naturally sweet, full-flavoured black tea with rich, complex flavour. The large, wiry leaf is visually attractive and has a rich, sweet aroma when dry. It brews to produce a golden, coppery liquor in the cup. It has good colour, strength and brightness, and a distinct floral fragrance.
Lychee flavoured tea is certainly sweet, yet somehow it is still refreshing and the sweetness is delicate enough not to overpower the tea. This is a good tea to drink at any time of day. It is particularly suitable for the summer and will make a good iced tea. For more information, have a look at our Making Iced Tea page.
To brew, put one tsp per person in a pot or Mug Infuser. Add fresh, boiling water. Brew for 4 mins and serve without milk.
