Keemun, the famous black tea from China, is not smoky, and is known for its orchard aroma and brilliant red liquor. Its mild, sweet flavour make it a perfect evening tea. It is also used as the base for scented blends.
This is a smooth tea with a delicate aroma and a light, mellow flavour. It comes from Qimen County in Anhui Province of Eastern China, where the hot and humid climate gives the tea a special and unique flavour. Keemun was first exported to the UK in 1875.
Keemun is perfect for enjoying with a meal at any time of day.
To enjoy at its best put one teaspoon per person in a warmed pot and add fresh boiling water. Allow to brew for for 4 mins, strain into cups or mugs and drink black or with a little milk.
