Darjeeling Oolong Gopaldhara
Sold out - it was too good to keep for very long. Trying to get more.
Oolong, or Wu-long, tea, is partly fermented. It can be thought of as being half-way between green and black tea. This means it has many of the health benefits of both types, together with a deliciously smooth, rounded flavour.
Oolong tea is famously good for you and is greatly prized for this reason. It is also extremely refreshing and rehydrating. Its flavour is usually described as between peach and chestnut, depending on the tea.
This exceptionally fine and rare Oolong from Darjeeling, North India, is midway along this scale. With beautiful mixed brown, tan, pale green and silver in the dry leaf, our Darjeeling Estate Oolong produces a clear, aromatic and sweet brew in the cup. A rare opportunity to try one of the finest Darjeelings available.
This is perhaps the perfect drink to rehydrate after a good session at the gym in the afternoon.
To brew, use one teaspoon per person in a warmed pot or Mug Infuser. Add boiling water and brew for 3 mins. Strain into mugs or cups and drink without milk or sugar. Ideal for drinking at any time of day.
