Cinnamon

To catch a hint of the sweet, lingering aroma of natural cinnamon is to be transported to the Christmases of your childhood.

Cinnamon has been used medicinally and in cooking for hundreds of years.  It has antibacterial properties and has even been shown to improve the memory.  You may also wish to be aware of its traditional use as an aphrodisiac.

The tea used for this flavoured blend is fine China Congou, a naturally sweet, full-flavoured black tea with rich, complex flavour.  The large, wiry leaf has a rich, sweet aroma when dry.  It brews to produce a golden, coppery liquor in the cup.  It has good colour, strength and brightness, and a distinct floral fragrance.  Blended in with this premium tea are pieces of real, natural cinnamon.

To brew, put one rounded tsp of Cinnamon Tea per person in a pot or Mug Infuser.  Add fresh, boiling water.  Brew for 4 mins.  Best enjoyed without milk, but this is not an absolute prohibition.  Perfect for brightening up those cold winter evenings!
