China Congou
Congou is the general term applied to describe a black tea made in China. The word derives from gong-fu, meaning labour.
All About Tea’s China Congou is a naturally sweet, full-flavoured black tea with a rich, complex flavour. The large, wiry leaf has a floral, sweet aroma when dry. It brews to produce a golden, coppery liquor in the cup, with good colour, strength, flavour and brightness, and a distinct floral fragrance.
Use one heaped tsp per person in a warmed pot and add freshly drawn boiling water. Brew for 4 minutes. The sweet, bright, aromatic flavour of Congou is best enjoyed without milk, though a little may be added if desired.
