The Lumbini Estate, founded by MD Mr. Dayapala Jayawaradana, is situated in the beautiful hill region of Deniyaya, in the Matara District in the southern tip of Sri Lanka. Deniyaya is 200km from the capital, Colombo, and around 450m above sea level. It is within walking distance of the Sinharaja, one of Asia’s last unspoilt rainforests.
Lumbini Golden Slivers is an exceptional tea in every sense. A fine, wiry, tippy tea, its striking black and white appearance is matched by its unique flavour with strong malt and wintergreen character, which is best appreciated without milk. It won the Gold Award of the Specialty Tea Association of America.
To brew, place one tsp per person into a warmed pot or Mug Infuser and add freshly drawn boiling water. Brew for 4 minutes and strain into cups or mugs. Best served without milk.
