When it’s cold and wet outside, put on the kettle, your pyjamas and a DVD. Grab the duvet, curl up on the sofa, and spend some quality time... just you and a steaming mug of Caramel Tea.
China Congou is a naturally sweet, full-flavoured black tea with rich, complex flavour. The large, wiry leaf has a floral, sweet aroma when dry. It brews to produce a golden, coppery liquor in the cup with good colour, strength, flavour and brightness, and a distinct floral fragrance.
Caramel and China Congou tea are an excellent combination as the brightness of the tea is an excellent complement to the sweet, luxurious flavour of the Caramel. With a delicate, naturally sweet flavour, Caramel Tea is ideal for enjoying at any time of day.
To brew, put one rounded tsp of Caramel Tea per person in a pot or Mug Infuser. Add fresh, boiling water and brew for 4 mins. Best drunk without milk, but this is not an absolute prohibition. Try a little honey in place of sugar.
